Yep - that'll work My latest attempt! Overprocessed? I have since removed the tree in the water (in PS).

Love that one!Andy_C77 said:
It would be good to have some constructive criticisms as I’m learning and always up for picking up new tips.
First suggestion is to stop using Thumbsnap and get a Flickr account. Your pictures will look better. In the third picture the daffodils in the are out of focus, and there's a loose branch on the ground which could have been removed for the picture was taken. The fourth picture looks blurred for some reason

Maybe it’s Thumbsnap but I don’t think the images are out of focus. I agree with the branch though. I should of moved that out of the shot.
Thanks for your advice 👍🏻

That's a great picture. Nice lens and camera combo too.I love this thread - it's inspirational, with some great photographers hanging around and giving tips whilst posting some beautiful work.
As posted in the birds thread, I have picked up my DSLR for the first time in over two years today. Wedding and moving house twice (and renovating twice) have meant I simply did not take photos. A mistake, as I am viciously out of practice, and the little I had learned has now disappeared (as I found out this morning when trying to take some sunrise pics). I have two weeks to practice before getting back to normal life in London.
Given where I am at the moment, I need to work on seascapes (especially sunrise and sunset), and if the moon isn't too bright some milky way photography.
I hope to get back to it: I was beginning to take quite nice images before I hung up the camera. In the meantime, here are some old pics. Posting them is my way of giving myself a kick up the backside to carry on with the photography journey. Apologies if I have posted these before.
All taken with a Nikon D5100 crop sensor DSLR.
Got lucky with the way the gull is lit (sidelit from above), and the colour of the sea, which was fabulous that day.

And a couple of others, to give myself a kick up the backside and get on with it.

I'd like to reprocess these two - I am now trying to re-learn Lightroom as well...!

There's a bit of Photoshop in this one, I trust it's not too obvious?
