Great perspective.

That looks like a terrific show.

It’s well worth a visit. Unfortunately rain stopped play this afternoon.

Belting photo above Rob.

Certainly a random photo, I was selected by Fujifilm UK to be their 'X' photographer of the week, the five images they chose are all on their Instagram page

https://www.instagram.com/fujifilmx_uk/ (my images are Whitby Pier, Liverpool Albert Dock, Chester Eastgate Clock Supermoon, Sixpenny Handley Barn and Lyn Ogwen/Tryfan)

I really really do not like these smudged photos of water as rather than being a snapshot in time it just looks like some soft blur glamour photo from the 1980's which apparently made it look sexier. That morphed into this that and the other and then photoshop finished it off so you know longer knew what you were looking at something the person behind the camera was seeing.

Roll on (pardon the pun) 30 years and I would like to see a waterfall or waves not in sexy soft focus margarine style shot and just how it looked on the day.

Just like the old timers did.

I AM BORED SILLY WITH SMEARY WATER SHOTS IN MOTION THAT DO NOT LOOK REAL.

Post a picture of a crab in a rockpool if you go down the beach. I get the feeling people spend so much time on their camera gear they miss out on what is actually happening.............

Been down the wine cellar again?
The human eye doesn't freeze water in time so to be fair it's probably a more accurate representation of what you would see at the beach than a snapshot of water frozen in time.

In general photography wont and cant replicate what the human eye sees, the point in any artistic photography is mostly not to replicate what the eye sees.

I shoot a particular shutter speed because I choose to because the results are pleasing to me.

Extraordinary thing to post.

2 points - it's not blurred or smudged - it's called a long exposure; look at the rocks, they are in focus. Photoshop makes no difference to that side of things.

We don't all like photos of the same thing; that's what makes Art and Photography so interesting. If you don't like it, scroll on by.

To be fair - although it’s rare on here I do think it’s ok for someone to say they don’t like someone else’s work? If I posted up a shot and somebody said ‘that’s ste’ (I paraphrase!) I wouldn’t be very happy but it always good to get feedback isn’t it?

That's fine but this guy comes on here every now and again and puts an antagonistic post about what his own personal tastes in pictures are. Probably best to ignore tbh.

Anyway here's a picture to get us back on track (or maybe not if you all don't like itbiggrin)

I agree - but constructive criticism is the best way. The comment above is rather abrupt and shouty.
