Some fairly impressive photos on here - much to admire, and thus much to be a tad nervous about when posting my own...

Anyway, here's one from the Saturday just gone...

The first proper windy day of the Autumn today, also the first time in ages that I have managed to steal five minutes to play with a camera. This is on the edge of the village we have moved to.

Took a few different variations of this scene, but I think this is my favourite.

the best artist is someone who does not give a sh it about what the person viewing thinks, as long as it gives him pleasure.

Too much ste with high end photography like there is too much about high end audio.

People in high end audio end up listening to the hardware not the music, a lesson for photographers..... wink

A photograph should try and tell a story and be a snapshot in time, not a pissing context on the right F stop.

judge

Some great snaps on here.

I went out to New Jersey earlier in the year to an event called The Race of Gentlemen, I'm now able to share some shots, there's a lot in the flickr album.
In some respects that looks like the American version of the VSCC!

It was hand held but point taken.
I sympathise with the wish to make it work for you and others and for some it. It's very hard to let go of an image that has good appeal but just fails the ultimate techinical observations of others.

I like to think of them as "good for social media" or something similar.

And if for entirely personal interest and satisfaction it will be fine anyway.

Print large and hand on a wall. Most people are too vain to admit that their eyesight is not good enough to work out whether something is pin sharp or not at a typical viewing distance! And in many cases it doesn't matter anyway.

However Singlecoil makes a valid personal point and I always appreciate the precision of the images presented under that nom de shutter release! wink

This subject in particular is very reminiscent! (At least as far as the vehicle is concerned.)
