Stunning pictures mate, I make the journey here from Leeds at least once a year and always end up seeing new stuff each time!

My aim for 2019 is to get out at least once per week with the camera.

overlooking a bleak edinburgh by malcolm kerr, on Flickr

I've decided I need to get out more with the camera, so this weekend was off for a walk around braid hills in edinburgh. was a pretty bleak grey winter day, think the photo shows that!

I was playing golf just round the hill from there on Saturday and can confirm it was indeed bleak!

ps... not sure if you wanted any feedback but noticed you had f22 and a 0.3 shutter on that... would suggest opening up the lens a bit (say f8) and keeping a much faster shutter would have been an idea? Apologies in advance if the suggestion is not welcome smile

criticism more than welcome, in fact one of my reasons for posting was hoping for constructive criticism. I want to improve my skills and too often take a load of very mediocre photos that never see the light of day, then dont know how I could improve on them!

Can't help but think a car in the bottom left hand corner of this image would have topped it off frown

I am also quite fond of 'roadscapes' without any vehicles in them, feel more timeless and abstract.
