Honestly, I don't understand these self-appointed 'thread police'. The people who post in it decide what the point of a thread is, and that image was posted by the thread starter.

I'm not going to tell anyone not to post "funny" photos, regardless of how unfunny I find them so why should you tell someone not to post poignant, or thought provoking images occasionally?

I'd only post photos here that I'd be happy to hand round to members of my family or friends as 'fantastic moments' and I wouldn't treat strangers on the internet any differently from people I know.
