I am reliably informed that pilots are no longer allowed to fly in ejector seat aircraft after a set number of ejections. Think it's two. Being in an ejector seat when it's activated is not good for the spine.

I've been ejected from my tractor like that after a surfeit of baked beans and chillis but the seat didn't come with me.

Saddleworth? I remember in the 80's when the farmers used to burn huge areas of fields routinely. I could look out of my window and the entire valley would be on fire. As a kid we would see how quickly the fire could chase us as it spread.
