It's not just the right hand end, either. Look at the left end, the penalty box is not parallel to the side line.
I played once on a smaller field where, rather than shortening and narrowing the field, they had shrunk everything. The goal box was about 4-5yrds, the penalty box was about 15yrds, the penalty spot was at about 12 yrds, etc.

Excellent photo.
This happened to my brother when we were kids. He pulled a wheelie off a drain cover on the pavement, at speed. Front wheel came off. A split second when he was fine, still on the back wheel but knowing that the immediate future didn’t look bright. And then absolute carnage as the front forks came down and dug in.
Still one of the funniest things I’ve ever witnessed.

I've come back home to Edinburgh to visit my parents...honestly not just because they've got a new puppy.

The same happened to me when I was a kid. Luckily I had the presence of mind to step off the back and chase after my wheel on foot. This happened to my brother when we were kids. My brother still has a chin scar from the day his front forks collapsed and he face planted on desert gravel.

My forks collapsed, I came to a good 5 to 10 minutes later, no idea how long! Only broke my front teeth off for the 6th time, took another twice before I realised bikes were not my friend. Still have a scar from where that knocked me out. My brother still has a chin scar from the day his front forks collapsed and he face planted on desert gravel.
