I'm off to Morrocco in a couple of hours for the new year period. I hope to get some good photos but not sure if ther'll be any celebrations. Anyway, be back Saturday night.

Martin.

How about an informal competition? Post your best new year's eve photos here for fellow PH'ers to critique.

Don't know if I will be able to focus New Year's Eve (either via camera or my eyes...)

Absolutely love the last one - outstanding for a hand-held. With the guy standing still taking a picture, a couple sitting down and everyone else moving it is awesome, and the wheel is very well positioned. I would be very proud if this was mine !!!

I was rather chuffed when I first saw that one too! It looks great in full size. It caught a great atmosphere.

How did you do that? i.e. change contrast just for a set of tones?
