Portraits of my step granddaughter taken earlier today. Really pleased with how they turned out, and thought I'd share a couple...

how on earth do you manage to get her to stay still?

My nephew is subject to camera flashes all the time now:

1/250th helps....plus 2 assistants to help get her attention.

Done in the garage, with 4 lights, and a background.

Yeah right There's so much to learn. I only used the most simple of lighting, and the cheapest

Best thing for me was the blue background though. Bought it on ebay a long time ago, but never liked the colour on the roll - its a dull blue. But decided to try it out yesterday, and stuck with it the whole day.

Its fantastic, when lit with a flash. Used a small head either to the right and above, or from the bottom and centre, and let it light the paper roll ina graduated manner....stunning results, and only cost £10
