March, April, Oct & Nov are stunning and empty if you get the right weather.

It's all about the weather!

Accommodation here: http://www.stevecarter.com/ansh/ansh7.htm
Thanks for that, really helpful.
Just clicked on a random one...

and got this...

"half way through the estate there is a bridge that may cause issues for very low sports cars. The last kilometer is a rough track with some potholes, so leave the Ferrari at home!"

Not suitable for your average PH-er ??

laugh

Finally decided to sell the Phantom and ordered a Mavic. It was close between the air/pro but opted for the Pro purely for the occusync connection.

Looking forward to trying it out and see how it compares. I'll get a lot more use from the mavic given how portable it is.

Sadly it looks like the Inspire 1 will become an expensive dust collector but we'll see. Hopefully the Mavic camera is similar quality to the Inspire

Have you sold the Phantom? I'm considering getting in to droning and have been looking at those. They seem great value new from Argos etc. Are there any drawbacks, apart from the size of it?

Phantom 3 pro upwards are great.

This is a knock down to 1080 - in 4k it looks truly stunning >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCbHziHvpRs&fe...

..and here are some of me' pics (All from Phantom 3 pro) >> http://stevecarter.com/random/Aerial.htm

I don't own a 4k TV so that might be lost on me. 1080 would be fine for what I need. Is the Pro much of an upgrade over the standard do you know?

Your pics are what made me start fancying buying one. I just wish I'd had one in Skye last year.

You don't own a 4K TV "at the moment". I bet you will (or a computer monitor) at some stage!

Seriously, if you're just putting stuff on Youtube 1080 is fine (at the moment!)

Almost no drawbacks. The size isn't an issue if you don't mind carrying a backpack. Very stable. The P4 is great value IMO, but the P3 are also very good value. Not sure if DJI still support the P3?

The Mavic camera is definitely the equal of the X3 for the Inspire. And the portability, well you know that, plus a rock so,I’d video connection just make it a pleasure to fly, not to mention a solid 21-22 minutes of flight time. You will love it.
