Sorry for a thread diversion - Quick question for those of you flying DJI’s.

I’ve just bought the Mavic Pro 2, will be my first drone.

I’m looking at the restricted zones and the descriptions given.
The slight issue I’m having is trying to differentiatate between the 2 classes of ‘green’ restricted zones (warning zone/enhanced warning zone)

Are both of these zones absolute no fly zones? Or do they just contain restrictions?

My house is close to Salisbury Plain danger area - though far enough away to be clear of any official restricted area, however it shows as being on the edge of a light green circle on the DJI zone.

So question is, can I fly the drone there or is it an absolute no fly?

Thanks

Warning Zones. In these Zones, which may not necessarily appear on the DJI GO map, users will be prompted with a warning message. Example Warning Zone: A protected wildlife area.

Enhanced Warning Zones. In these Zones, you will be prompted by GEO at the time of flight to unlock the zone using the same steps as in an Authorization Zone, but you do not require a verified account or an internet connection at the time of your flight.Example Enhanced Warning Zone: A farm which is 3 miles away from a busy international airport.

Authorization Zones. In these Zones, which appear yellow in the DJI GO map, users will be prompted with a warning and flight is limited by default. Authorization Zones may be unlocked by authorized users using a DJI verified account.Example Authorization Zone: Model aircraft flying club near an airport.

Restricted Zones. In these Zones, which appear red the DJI GO app, users will be prompted with a warning and flight is prevented. If you believe you have authorization to operate in a Restricted Zone, please contact flysafe@dji.comExample Restricted Zone: Washington D.C.

Thanks for the info GetCarter, with any luck it shouldn’t restrict my ability to fly around home then. Hopefully just an acknowledgment of the warning will be all I need to do.

I've just ordered a Mavic Air fly more combo. I couldn't justify the extra £500 for the Mavic 2. What are the essential accessories?

The combo should have everything you need to get going. Maybe a micro SD?

I climbed that tall rock pillar on a leadership course once. Not enjoyable for someone who is scared of heights.
