Stunning - in all seriousness - you should maybe look to do a book/exhibit with some of your photos - they are truly beautiful !!

If an exhibition - you could maybe set it to music ....(a la Little Britain ) Take the pictures, compose the theme tune, orchistrate the theme tune, play the theme tune .... ) clap

Ta. I actually have quite a few books out, though none include drone shots as I haven't got a CAA licence!

I also sell DVDs with pics to music... so great minds think alike!

Problem these days is DVDs are going out of fashion frown (there goes that income stream).

Driven past loads of times but never bothered exploring up there!

the only way up is via Dhustone Lane which is off the A4117.... Just be aware that at night its a well known dogging area laugh

youtube with some extreme hyperbolic descriptions, and enough views and you might get some income there

The number of views required to earn pennies is quite depressing.

Has anyone used the Anafi yet?
I must declare some bias as I work for Parrot.
I have one of the first ones after being a mavic user these past years.
I'm keen to know how new users think it compares to kit they've used before.
Hope this doesn't break any forum rules, please delete if I've breached any regulation.
I have the Anafi now as my second drone purchase.

Very impressed with it. For the price, it's far better than the DJI equivalent, which was the spark fly more (no controller without the additional package... DJI, really?!?) when I got it.

Obstacle avoidance would be useful for the RTH, but that's the only negative*. Avoidance gets in the way for low level fun with a DJI, and only works in the slow mode, which is pretty pointless anyway.

Being able to shoot straight up to straight down gives you so many more awesome shots to do. Bridges, foliage etc.

25 mins airtime, 4k video, 21MP pics, very quiet, smooth and some beautiful cinematic effects.
The tracking is pretty good on the follow-me, and so far no issues with connectivity, cutouts or flyaways.

My Mavic Pro before this was just not as good, despite costing about double (£430 vs £900ish (I think?)), it was bigger, noisier and the video wasn't quite as nice IMHO. I was nervous about buying the Anafi as a replacement, but it's worked out well.
I had been considering the Mavic Air, but the flight time was just too low, which is why I started to look around.

-*-Just thought of another negative. The height limit. seriously, just scrap it. I live up in the mountains, so hit the 150m limit constantly, whilst still being next to the ground! Yeah I know I can use the routeplanner, but it's a pita having this limit.

Anyhow, for me it's a toy, with no artistic skills whatsoeverhere is a clip from the anafi... https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iwEF_sT-uR2M0tvj...

Mount Teide at sunrise. Shot on Mavic Air and stretching its ability to cope with extreme lighting. Beautiful piece of road.

Dont suppose anyone knows how to convert this lovely 360 I took with my spark into something that can be paster to FB as a 360?

There are lots of guides online, but the website they recommend no longer works

Some excellent pictures from these drones biggrin and being a drone noob and seeing all these different methods of photography, you lot have made me go out and buy a "beginner" camera drone laugh

Had a look round and i've gone for a Hubsan H501S-S (standard), it wasn't too expensive, has nearly 20 mins flying time, 4k video, RTH, GPS, FPV, so looking forward to trying to take some pictures with it!

I got a massive bking from a park ranger for using my drone there, apparently they're banned in the park!

You were lucky, in Spain its a criminal offence to use a drone in a national park, over beaches and other listed features. IIRC the punishments can be severe too.

I did a heap of research before taking my drone on a road trip to Spain.

For France you can go to w website that shows detailed zoomable maps (a bit like google earth) with shading to show where you can't fly drones, sadly I couldn't find the same for Spain.

I only learnt this a few days later. I've relied on the DJI geo-fencing to cover me so far but I guess it's not definitive. I travel with it a lot but I need to start checking the local rules now that things are tightening up so much. My personal rule is and was 'don't be a dick'. I was flying at 7am at the top of the mountain without another soul around but I imagine there's little discretion when it comes to application of the law.

Yes there's no one true guide on prohibited areas even in the UK. Closest I've got is the NATS map but even that doesn't highlight the local parks trust in Milton Keynes nor the forest of marston vale who blanket forbid drone flying. The only thing I've found so far is the forestry commission who mostly don't forbid apart from the new forest.
