Given the type of forum this is, there’s only one correct look for the drone. In addition to this, I reckon it adds at least 10mph to the top speed...

Very Cool.

I just got my first drone, it is a DJI FPV, impressive and very easy to fly.

I took my A2 C of C the same weekend I bought the drone and now fear that I can hardly fly it anywhere.

They look so cool on the YouTube vids. How do you manage with the VR side? I can’t even watch roller coaster videos on my VR goggles for more than 10 seconds...

It is not as bad as my VR game but it does feel a bit odd, especially in sport and changing altitude quickly. Also, it is very weird flying back towards yourself and seeing you standing there....out of body experience type thing.

Harrow Hill. The buildings in the foreground are about 120 years old. The enclosure about 3000 years old, and the pits about 4500 years old.

Mavic Pro 1 or Mini 2?

Not too fussed about having to take the course etc which isn't too much hardship.

Is the Mavic 1 now outdated? Is the Mini 2 just as capable?

Left field suggestion but I have bought a DJI FPV and flown it 3 times that I am thinking of selling as I just do not use it.....I was thinking of £750 - as new in box still....might be a bargain?

Could certainly be a bargain but the Mini2 is £350 - which I can justify for something i'll probably use as often as you have biggrin £750 takes it into hmmm might have to think about that for a toy kinda area.

I hadn't looked at the price of the mini2, I assumed they were more than that.

Mini2 is currently knocking around £350 for the unit or £470 for the flymore combo when on sale in various places.

The main reason why the Mini2 is so popular is that it can be flown so many more places than the heavier drones (without the need for expensive courses or tighter restrictions).

I sometimes just slip it in my jacket pocket when I go out and then it’s there if a shooting situation arises. I love the fact it doesn’t have to be an event to fly and shoot, it’s just extending my photo / video capabilities without any fuss.

mini 2 is £420 or £550 for the combo, I've not seen cheaper.

However, the camera on it is very capable, the low weight means you can fly it anywhere, which was the bonus for me. Today I've been flying it watching surfers

I paid £474 for the combo 3 months ago. There are deals to be had on these drones and Amazon in particular has been dropping the price over the last week.

Agree that it’s so awesome to be able to fly over people (not crowds) and get some awesome perspective shots, I did the same with paddleborders at Cotswold Water Park recently.
