Found out the other day that one of my drone pics had been used in the Daily Star for an article on crop circles. As they got the image from a stock photo site, I received the princely sum of 24 US cents... hahaha.

I have the fly more bundle, I've never found I need the second or third battery. So you never know...
I tend to use a second battery if out and about sometimes. Plus I've had to throw one away, never charged past one light after a year of use.

I could probably have got this with a camera rather than a drone, but I would have gotten very wet feet. So much easier with a drone!

Anyone looked at their DJI fly report for 2023. Seems a little strange, it's listed I few for 10 mins in one place, when I've flown lots in multiple places/countries

A quick -3 flight this morning to try and get a moody sunrise type shot, wasn't sure if the Mini2 would fly in sub zero temperatures

Sorted it, when the app updated it turned off sync, so all the flights were on the phone, not uploaded.

A couple of images from a trip round the NC500 last year, on a DJI Mini SE.

Some decent pics of the weather on this page, just went to use mine to capture the sunset but both batteries need charging frown .

For flying in moist or cold weather with the DJI Mini's people recommend taping up the airflow ducts on the front.

May also be relevant for those with DJI drones that they recently unlocked most of their geo-restrictions in the UK

Interesting, previously banned zones are now enhanced warning zones, meaning you can unlock on site?
Handy for when the ranges are open as the coastline was previously banned.

A short video I've just put together from a recent trip to Slovenia. Photos are so much easier, but I like the challenge of learning to shoot and edit video. Still a lot to learn, but I'm pretty happy with this one.

Shot with a Mavic 3, edited in Final Cut Pro

I didn't realise they're allowing commercial pro footage in this thread. wink

Seriously though - that is very enjoyable to watch. Nice to see the comment over the equipment used too.

Thanks for sharing.

Out of interest, did you already have your EASA operator registration and remote pilot certificate from another EU country, or did you obtain those in Slovenia?

I'm registered in Ireland as well as the UK which covers me for the rest of the EU - seemed the easiest option as their website is in English!
