The weather didn't allow for a flight around the Minack Theatre so the Tamar will have to do for now.

Anyone flying a DSLR on a budget?!
I fancy having a crack at doing some landscape work with a Drone but I'd want something with a decent lens and sensor up there.
Is it possible without spending 5K?
Mine was £1,200 with all the trimmings. (Assuming you have a newish smartphone or tablet). It does 4k vid. If you just want 1080 then it's under a grand. google DJI phantom. Surprisingly easy to fly.... and has a return to home button which is a fantastic 'backstop'.I fancy having a crack at doing some landscape work with a Drone but I'd want something with a decent lens and sensor up there.

Cheers Steve, Does yours fly DSLR though?
you seem to be getting some nice results but what's the quality like in comparison with the rest of your landscape work?

Vid: This looks great in 4k (in case you hadn't seen it). You get an idea how smooth it is. >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OGLThTL1sg&fe...

This will give you a very rough idea on how much a Dslr rig would cost.I fancy having a crack at doing some landscape work with a Drone but I'd want something with a decent lens and sensor up there.

A few years off before I can justify spending that sort of money.
Took my Phantom 3 Pro for it's first flight yesterday between the rain showers and it flew amazingly! Turned the "beginner" mode off after 2 mins it was that easy to fly. Got up to around 350ft which looked brilliant in 4k even in poor light although I forgot to take photos so yet to see what the quality is like but anything like above I will be very happy
