Ok, how much better is Photoshop on a decent screen?!

No longer do I have to hide all the toolbars or view photos at 16% zoom, for I have just setup my new Dell 20" Ultra-sharp screen.

20.1" screen
1600 x 1200 resolution
DVI/DSUB/S-Video/Composite inputs (And picture in picture to use the Playstation at the same time as working )

How much did it cost? All for the measly sum for £340 including VAT and delivery from eBay! So once I have put the VAT through and passed on my old 15" TFT (already arranged) it will have cost me £180 in total.

If you are on a tight budget like myself and in the market for a new screen then look no futher, the Dell 2001FP is where it's at! Well worth the extra money over a 19" that will only go to 1280 x 1024 resolution.

P.S. Did I mention it looks sexy?!

Looks good from here!

Amazing how technology keeps tumbling in price - have been keeping an eye out for 19" screens, meself. Also just got a new printer capable of photos, from six inks, Epsom jobbie, for only 80 notes

I was lokking for a 19" TFT too, the best I found was from www.aria.co.uk for around £185 inc. VAT for a 19" screen with what look like very good specs. As I said in the original thread I couldn't find one with a suitable resultion for my liking - they all use the same as a 17" screen, so unless your eyesight is on the way out there is no real advantage to having 19" over a 17" one!

My thoughts exactly. However I went the other way and bought another (matching) Sony 17" TFT - which seemed better value than a 20" on the grounds of total square inches per £ (TSIPP). It's not a current model but I won one for £150 - which includes shipping from America! You gotta love that exchange rate

I'll keep eating carrots then! Good point, and explains why there's sometimes such little price differential

So I assume you watch all your TV on a little handheld one, since the resolution is the same as a 42" plasma?

I have the 1703FP in my office and it is fantastic.

Even better once I properly calibrated it with ColourSpyder2 Pro...

TV is one thing, coding in Dreamweaver is something completely different! My mum would never let me sit 12" away from the TV either
