Can anyone share what video editing software they use? I've recently bought my dad a phantom 3 drone and he's really enjoying flying it and getting footage but wants to start to edit the videos.

iMovie is fine. Premier Pro is a steep learning curve, but the 'pro' bit is correct. GoPro edit suite is kinda' weird to begin with but fine after a while (doesn't have to be GoPro footage). I used to use Windoze Movie Maker, but no longer on a PC so have no idea if it's still in fashion.

1st video actually has some GoPro footage spliced in, not quite all drone...

Just traded up from a Phantom to a Mavic Pro. The head tracking of the goggles makes some things possible that wouldn't have been before, like this video following my friend stunt flying his RC Heli.

DiVinci Resolve is really good and it's free but it's got a bit of a learning curve to it.

Wondershare Filmora is another really popular one which i've used for a while. It's £40 for the year but it's decent for simple edits and comes with a bunch of titles, animations, music etc all included. Does start to fall over when you try and get too fancy with it though.

I've been looking for a poppy field to do a photoshoot in but there's nothing around here. Even the rape fields are thin on the ground this year. I've only seen two in the local vicinity during my travels whereas there are usually a whole bunch of them.

they do make for some good photography options. Unfortunately the one I shot is up in Herefordshire, no where near you by your profile!

Nice vid, what drone are you using the stability looks very good.

When I was there, I thought was in a no fly zone for drones? They have detailed maps in France showing where you can fly.

I am using a Mavic Pro.

I have got to hold my hands up, it appears I was flying in a no-drone zone. I got a warning on the controller and checked Notaminfo while on site and only got local radar beacon warnings, so carried on.

We had a week over on the west coast of Scotland last month, so it's more of a video of the trip, but plenty drone shots in it aswell. Taken with a Mavic pro and a GoPro
