April 2017 Photo Competition - "After Dark"
Discussion
Well it appears that I've selected a popular subject, great, keep them coming, but watch the posted image size so as not to fall foul of 'The Rules' and look out for those blown highlights...............
Here's a few of mine to give some inspiration ( I can't select one of these as the winner!!!)

Obviously I'm not Mr Mono (according to DibblyDobbler) for no reason!!!!

There are some particularly stunning shots this month!Forth Bridges Star Trails by Mike Smith, on Flickr
On this particular one, how on earth did you manage an exposure long enough to give you star trails, with everything so wonderfully exposed, and without over-exposing the lights on the bridges?????
Even with a seriously hefty filter and HDR, I think I'd struggle to get this and have it so amazingly clear and noise free. I am somewhat in awe of this shot!

Shucks you are too kind It's a blend but if I recall correctly the bridges were not too badly blown - I usually shoot star trails at around f4, 30s and iso 100 so you can get away with quite a lot without blowing it all out.On this particular one, how on earth did you manage an exposure long enough to give you star trails, with everything so wonderfully exposed, and without over-exposing the lights on the bridges?????

As a few people have already said, both Le Mans and the Nurburgring 24hrs get so much better when it gets dark:
