It's about the same size as the Canon L 2.8 24-70, apart from the Sony having that sort of spigot at the camera end.

I had mine for over a month now.
I have 12-24 and Zeiss 85 f/1.8. Pretty happy with all of it.

Seems to be nicely balanced with the Sony which is good, the grip seems much better than the one on the a7rii I had.

How do you find the Zeiss with the AF? I'm looking at getting a prime for it as well.

Had a quick play outside with the dog, the 20 fps with no blackout is very impressive! And the tracking.

This has been out for a few months now, what's the verdict?

I have a finger over the buy button, the thing i'm really after is fast auto focus, something I feel the a7 range is fairly poor at.

Any other real world feed back would be appreciated smile

I've got one with the FE 24-70 2.8 GM and I really like it for outdoor work. I love being able to check pictures just taken through the viewfinder in bright sunlight, and zoomed in. Problem is I don't really do any outdoor work so I will be saying goodbye to it soon. All my photography is studio and flash lit so I will stick with the 5DSR for that. I've also made a heavy investment in Canon lenses so that's another reason for staying with Canon.

As mentioned earlier, I bought the A9 with 85mm zeiss and 12-24mm Sony few months ago.

Sold all my Canon gear including 5D MkIV and 1Dx plus many L lenses. Haven't regretted it once smile

So it would seem that it all depends on what you are going to use it for. You get that a lot with cameras smile

I must add I liked the face detection focus with the A9 as well, big consideration if you are taking pictures of people in a run and gun scenario.
