I'm off to Venice next week, well actually staying in Jesolo, but will be there for four days. Has anyone been before and do you have any photography tips for around there you could share? I'd like to try a sunrise shot out there but no real idea of how you get around!!

I have been a couple of times (most recently two years ago) and you really can't go wrong - there are loads of stunning places to shoot so really you're just looking at standard scenario of sussing out a good spot eg St Marks Square, the Rialto etc and hoping for good conditions. Getting up early to avoid the crowds is definitely a good shout and the best way to get about is on the water taxis aka Vaporetti.

Have a butcher's on here to get you in the mood smile

Cheers thumbup

Other thing I meant to say was try a trip to Burano if you have time (not Murano) - it's a bit of a trek but worth it smile

Good luck and be sure to post something up when you get back!

Looking your photos I think we may have been there on the same day smile Same dog / same doorway by the looks of it. Was late September 2015.

Well mine was taken April 2015 but it's definitely the same pooch and the same doorway. He's moved about 2 feet smile
