and it was good

Mr Monster

Minis

Flower

Flower 2

The rest of the album is here. Saving for web (550 pixels wide & 40% compression) has lost a fair bit of quality, the big ones don't have much noise and are pretty much pin sharp

Any comments are welcome, but I'm grinning widely as I'm so happy with the way they came out for a quick play!

edit:: I know the stems aren't straight lines, but I was finding it difficult to get them vertical - I was concentrating on the lighting and fiddling as well and didn't have much time to play.

I used a "lightbox", its essentially the same as the softbox described by bacchus180 but has a opaque perspex lid and is made for illuminating images from beneath.

My mother uses them when she's doing her Calligraphy and it produces a indirect, soft light

Interesting: I thought you were using an electric dark bulb...

Great shots, it's great fun doing this type of thing because you can take all the time in world and try as many different angles (camera and lighting).

I had a play a few weeks ago
