The theme for the June competition is:

"Liquid"

Entries can be anything associated with liquid, so hopefully a wide remit, and feel free to interpret this as you like.
This would include landscapes with water, still-lifes, photos of drinks (or people enjoying a drink), or even photos with a liquid "feel" to them.

Good luck everyone.

Rules:
The photos taken must be your own work and can be taken at anytime, but please get out with your gear if you have time.
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for the following month and judges it at the end of the month.
Entries and discussion on this single thread, please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered can be as large as you like, although bear in mind if too large, it may not be possible to see the whole image on some screens. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Never ventured into here before, but do you accept shots taken with a phone?

Bee Fly, or should that be a 'Pee' Fly, ejecting some in-flight 'liquid'!

I was on a trip to Scotland when I read the July competition...thought I'd go for something new instead of pulling something out of old shots.
My family got sick of hearing me shout 'LIQUID!' every time we went past a stream biggrin

So anyway....just to show my commitment, here are some of the different liquid shots all captured earlier this week.

Forth Railway Bridge:

Alternative view with a family exploring the low tide providing some relative perspective to the size of the bridge

Loch Lomond at night...

A jetty being built on Derwent Water in the Lake District - we stopped over on the way back

...finally the one that needed a bit of creativity with strategically launched projectiles, concentric circles in Derwent Water

Do we get extra points for a photo taken this month?

Just after sunset last week. We had had thunder storms all day and then an hour before sunset the skies started to clear.

Excellent - like these - can you select your favourite as your entry please (as one entry per person)?

As part of the reason for the monthly competition is to encourage people to go out and take photos, certainly ones taken this month will be viewed favourably! smile

Some excellent entries so far, and it's good to see a fair number.

There are still a couple of weeks before the end of the month, so please do go out and see what you can shoot.
