Excellent - like these - can you select your favourite as your entry please (as one entry per person)?

Sorry about that.

Let's go for this one then...smile

Firstly, apologies for the delay in getting the results up.

Secondly a big well done to all those who entered. There were many excellent entries, and it's been difficult trying to decide on an overall winner, not least because of the variety of approaches to the subject.

A couple of the ones that nearly made it include:

Vintage Racer's Bee Fly - having done a bit of macro, I know how technically difficult it would have been to get any sort of image of this.

S100HP's dog taken on the phone - very nice, and I hope you pop in here again with more entries.

LaSource's selection (and also Chandrew's entry) - great to see people going out to take new photos for the monthly comp!

After a LOT of looking through them all many times (and also asking Mrs C&C for her thoughts), I've come to a decision on the top 3.

So, in 3rd place, a very striking image that is very "liquid".

And the winner this month, as I really liked the feeling this one gives of the place being very humid, is:

So, congratulations Neil, and over to you for the August competition theme.

Thanks for picking my entry. I have to confess, I wasn't expecting to win given that this was a quick snap taken on an ancient point & shoot and as usual there's some stiff competition this month.

I'll post up this month's competition in a moment, even though I much prefer entering to judging!

That was my favorite as well. Such a natural looking and pretty picture.
