Dear all,

A question if that is all right.

What would I expect to pay for PI insurance of £2m for consulting into the IT sector? I.e, no installation, supply etc, just writing procedures, implementing systems.

Where would I go to get a good price?

Thanks in advance.

Ta UTI, I'll investigate.

Any other ideas?

Can't really comment on price, but I use www.icon-insurance.co.uk/ who always seem reasonable to me.

It depends on the level and size of contracts you are advising on, but around the £200-400 mark.

I'm covered for £1m PI, and it costs me a little under £500 per annum.

Randell Dorling do a good discount if you're a member of the PCG.

Cost me £328.47 this year for Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, Employer's Liability and equipment (laptops, etc.).
Unfortunately the latter is going to skew the figure somewhat and make it hard for you to draw a representative comparison.
