For the Mac users amongst us.

An Automator Workflow which will take Steves picture of the day and set it as your wallpaper.

With the added benefit you can add it to an Ical entry, set it to repeat and it will run at whatever time of day you want.

It's my first Automator workflow so feedback is good - especially if there's problems.

You'll find it here Get Carters Picture A Day for Mac It's a massive 10Kb in size...

Use File Save As

Not sure why, but when I go to the site it crashes Explorer

Just tried Safari and if I just type in address, together with /picaday/date.jpg, it works just fine

It's great fun actually, picking random dates. Beautiful work Steve!

I was using Stu's link. Yours works just fine. I am on a Mac though. I'm actually enjoying the random date picker approach

To those who automatically d/load and display 'today.jpg' ... I've just written this on the site:

"There will now be a slight & temporary change to this page. Due to work commitments (I do some sometimes), I have to head south. But fear not - if things go according to plan, I will continue to post a snap a day (albeit somewhat different in content) and a photo a day will be taken in the Highlands in my absence by the immensely talented Iona (Mrs Get). When I return, I will post hers to accompany mine. Thus, you should get two 'pics a day'. Of course, if it all goes pear shaped, or someone nicks my laptop, the screen will go blank."

I hate work, me.

Fraid so, but if you're thinking of meeting up for a beer, I'm afraid I'm stuck in a dark recording studio 15 hours a day, every day - my client wants blood. And if that wasn't bad enough, I'm working with 17 string players... who are the strangest people on earth (apart from photographers), and my hotel is right next to the LOUDA40 - hence the poo pic (now updated)

It's a 'no' unless you want to meet up at 23.00 in Acton (God I hate Acton).

Can't fault you on that one.

What the hell are you doing that far out of town? Studio space presumably?
