I like it, but I'm not sure if it needs a bit more definition / contrast to it?
I put up the original without any alteration because it looked fine on my monitor, but having viewed it on another, I can see your point. So I've had a play with PS and here are a few options. Which one (if any) is worth entry into the competition?Original:
Option2:
Option3:
Option4 (not entirely serious with this one):
OK, little bit late, but here are 4 thoughts of mine. Please let me know what you think, esp. which you guys think would be most appropriate?
Thanks all,
M.
Edit: Pic 1 replaced with smaller version.
Edit: Only post-shot processing is on #1 - increased exposure, small amount of fill-in light to reduce shadows, saturation lifted slightly.
Thanks all,
M.

I prefer option 3 daisy
Thanks for the feedback, stigmundfreud .Havoc,
I like no 1 - although it's not exactly a picture of everyday things for me, I suppose it would be if you're a Buddhist monk!
If you enter no 4, I think it could benefit from cropping out the second woman.
If nos 2 and 3 are of your girlfriend, I wouldn't like to be in your shoes when she finds out you've entered pictures of her in a photo competition under the title "pretty ordinary"!
Daisy,
Thanks!
1) That was sort of my point - pretty setting for us, but pretty ordinary for Thailand, and pretty ordinary stuff happening (for the monk, anyway).
2)/3) She's pretty (she's my wife now!!!), but she's also just an ordinary person...but I guess on reflection that doesn't work so well for this. And she knows I submitted the pics!
4) Thanks...not a bad idea...
