Pistonheads Calender
Discussion

No offense to the PH girls (lovely that they are) but I'd rather just have cars on my PH calender.
Maybe two different calenders if thats what people want?
is that the same mungo??? Does that mean your not voluteering to don a dress for charity?
Sure; all opinions taken on board, I would imagine each month would have several photos, rather than just one, Im sure TT Tim has more on that, so there could be with and without shots of the same car per month?
Or, from tims posts, it suggests printing can be done ad-hoc, so if multi photos of the cars are taken with and without-so to speak, Im sure ted could do a with or without option on the sales page?

I thought the PH girlies had offered to do one
We'd all but wouldnt we?
Then there were the photos of Nubbin (all oiled up) that the girlies would buy
(oh and of course jigs!)
yes, we were going to do one, but Ted wouldnn;t give us the backing for the reasons he has given, and it made more sense if it was a PH one than a random group of girls, so I dropped the idea.
I am up for modelling though
Before this goes wayyyy off topic.
Can I make a few comments/suggestions.
My initial idea was a calendar produced using photos of cars owned by and taken by members of Pistonheads.com, I had envisaged more EVO rather than MaxPower, i.e not so much t&a as bhp!
The idea was that people would submit their photos for inclusion in the calendar, the rules for inclusion would be the same for everyone. Assuming that we gat a lot of 'entries' then they could be whittled down to say 20-30 photos (sets of photos, dependant on page design) and that those 20-30 photos would be put to the public vote as to which ones are included in the 12 month calendar.
My role, if any, would be to scan, design, carry out any DTP and prepare the pages for press. I'm a newbie on here so I'm not very well known, but I'm a Graphic Designer by trade, specialising in Book design and all aspects of pre-press.
Does that sound fair to everyone?

Woah... calm down peeps.
Tim and I will formulate a plan for acquisition of photos and we'll decide which ones will be used.
I had to call a halt to the PH girly calendar as plans were being put in place without my approval and I need to keep a close rein on the brand.
Tim and I will sort the calendar and there will be some fun along the way but you'll have to leave the basic plan to us.
You know what they say about designing by committee

Hehehe, seems I may have opened a can of worms, sorry Ted.
Could be a nice project if we can establish the ground rules.
