Please temper the enthusiasm with some commercial realities Yes, anything is possible but not all is likely.

take look at this one its what our club does, each person can send there own pictures (there's about 350 this year), you can choose which image goes with which month, etc not sure of the company which produces it all but can find out

Thought I'd bring this back to the top. after taking some shots yesterday I knocked this up, thought it might stir some of you to get out there with your cameras.

Tim, could you email me some details. What package are you using for design, what templates do you have and what size pictures will we need?

If we can get it in place in January then we can have a bit of fun each month choosing the pics and then get it printed later in the year.

Hi Ted,

I wasn't putting that design as final btw, just trying to get people out there clicking away, that thread on General with all the pics is just fantastic!

As for package, as I've said I'm a graphic Designer the main DTP software I use is Quark Xpress, as for templates, the world is your oyster as I don't use any, but I'll create the design once we've finalised the ideas.

Images, Ideally as hires as possible from digital cameras, peopel could submit them to me/other pistonhead designers for 'assesment'. Photos again should be ideally 10x8 but I can scan any size upto A4, I can also accept slides/transparancies.

Steve, quick question. Do you shoot at race meets, i.e. the other side of the chain link. If so what criterior do you need to meet to be allowed to do so, is it NUJ membership or something?

Any advise appreciated, as I'm getting fed up with my sedatory existance in front of this computer and want/need to get out!

NUJ membership is sod all use. Usually you have to apply to the circuit and get a letter commissioning you from a magazine or something. The MSA have strict guidelines about it (which used to exclude websites as recognised publications incidentally. Not sure if that's still the case).
