Thanks very much thumbup The closest I could get was a Yellowhammer. I'm not very good at bird identification yet, we only had six pidgeons in our last garden. rofl

It was around 5mtrs and taken from inside a 'pop-up' hide. - VERY minor crop to centralise the shot.

after last weeks male........here comes the female.......note the lack of red at the back of the neck, which is exclusive to the male.

Stunning photos as ever fartoo emarrased to put mine on. Nearly got an awesome shot as some huge thing flew within feet of me 1500 meters up the Pyrenees but I’d just put the camera away.

I did take this but not in you’re guys league.

Nice shot Pesty, keep them coming! - Not that long ago, I was a bit intimidated by some of the images on here, but persistence got me the results I was hoping for and i'm still learning.

Just enjoy what you are doing and let's see the results.

Pesty, IMO you don't have to produce a technically perfect big close-up (unless you are producing an encyclopaedia) in order to create an interesting image.
