I just thought I'd share this baragin, which was posted on a digital photoforum I mod on.

www.digital-cameras.com/shop/showproduct.asp?id=1505

I have had my confirmation of despatch today, even though it was listed as awaiting delivery when I ordered last night.

Canons list price is rrp £149.99, with other sites selling them at £129.99

Other people on our forum have commented on the improved balance of the camera, especially with a long lense on. Portriat work is also improved due to the extra shutter release and jog dial.

Battery life is now measured in WEEKS as it takes 2 cells (so if you order be sure to add another battery)
Hope it helps some of you

Update just incase any 300d owners actually care

Grip arrived today before lunch, Fantastic balance with a long lens is very much improved and portrait style shots feel more natural.

A friend of mine got one from this site too after I suggested it to him. Pukka item and came in reasonable time too. Makes handling of the camera much better, especially in portrait format, and longer battery life too. At this price its pretty much a no brainer, get one !

The camera will still work with a single cell inserted in the grip, but with 2 cells in, i'm getting around 1000 shots on RAW mode with flash usage.

Yes, portrait work is comfortable.....but long range work with a 300mm lens is a breeze. the extra grip and weight on the body stops the lens from tipping towards the floor.

When I ordered mine, it said on the web site that they were awaiting delivery.......I got the grip before I got their mail to say it was in stock.

Impressed is too weak a word.
