Never understood this. Some people can see them others can't.

Apart from the first and last ones.

They are good but I wouldnt rate them as the best pictures of the year. The photos are stunning, they just dont draw me in enough. Im not saying i could do better, I couldnt even come close. I just like a pic that tells a tale or really sets a scene that i can imagine being in.

Don't have the first idea Adam. They were passed on to me as the best pictures of 2003.
The cloud over the mountain is good, but for my money, what was the chance of hitting the shutter with a shark under the wave?
