well not quite.

Also, I apologise for repeating this from the TVR Griff forum.

It was Friday night I was bored and went for a drive with my camera attached to the front of the Griff and using the remote I took these. I kept thinking of trying this, so tonight I did.

Makes a slightly different photo.

and

I had a lot of odd looks from other drivers wondering what the hell was stuck to the front of the car.

and in answer as to how the camera was mounted. It was with one of these:

which you can buy from here:

Love 'em fantastic idea.

Might look really cool in a busy street with tall buildings either side and the roof down.

Great effects

I would have been bricking it at any junction/lights in case any scrote fancied the camera and tried to swipe it.

Being boring, it's probably illegal as well - hazard to other road users if it comes off, projection to injure gormless pedestrian etc. So best to avoid Plod.

My fault!
Told you it would get a good response in here though!
Great pics. Have you ever tried any with it stuck on the side?

Whilst I agree with simpo on the safety side of it, car magazine photograph must be done in the same way.
Also I bet there are more cars out there with other more dangerous bits likly to fall off!

Thanks everyone.

If I get some time this weekend I will have a play with other camera positions and see what happens. I may even give the car a polish to improve the reflections.

As for the camera coming off; you should try one of these mounts, it sticks so well that I am terfified I may pull the paint off when it comes to releasing the suction.

I used to use similar things for lifting large office floor tiles, i dont reckon it would come unstuck on accident.

People climb glass buildings with them too!

6" diameter sucker = 28 square inches of surface

28sq inches * 14 lbs per sq inch of atmospheric = 392lbs to pull it straight off (less to peel it).

Yep, it's staying put!

Great shots, and very original as well!

I've thought about doing this as well, to get some nice wide-angle shots from a camera stuck to the side of the car, but am a bit worried about my camera falling off, and stone chips to the lens!
