Babo's ended up catching "ugly flu" after his travels last weekend...
I think I said this a year or so ago when Babo and his mates first came on the scene. There's something about him I quite like that the others don't have.

I was tempted to get one similar to add some interest to what would have been a boring shot but couldn't find something with the same character appeal that Babo has. I even considered a friends Blythe doll since the eyes move / are interchangeable then I seen the costs. I don't want to be copying you but the feeling for Babo is still strong.

Out of interest - What's the manufacturers name. smile I feel a purchase coming on.

I thought this thread was going to die months ago but people seem to be using it to publicise their latest 365's which is fine by me. Tangents are always good.

Cheers for the information Barry. mmmmmmmm tempted..

Anyone here's one from me.

One of the few joys of international travel is that you can have whatever you want at whatever time of day it is as your body clock is generally in sync with where you’ve come from.

It’s 5am in Dubai and 11am in Brisbane so I fancy a snack instead of breakfast. Step forward Mr Berry Tart.

Craig was out exploring his list of 101 whiskies to try before you die. smile

It’s not King George V.
But it was pleasant.

On the list of 101 whiskies to try before you die, there is listed the Johnny Walker Blue Label King George V. On the list of whiskies on the flight from Bangkok to Sydney there was listed Johnny Walker Blue Label so I enquired of the steward. She did what any proper steward did – she brought me the bottle to firstly check over and then secondly to sample. Nice it was too.

Anyway – a fairly grainy picture but then it was stupid O’clock in the morning and I was pushing the camera in the dark to pick it out. ISO 6400 if you’re interested.

Anyway - the Geysirs in Rotorua are not a patch on the original Geysir in Iceland.

Christchurch, you can rebuild

Ironically, on our travels we arrive in Napier, the day that Christchurch is hit with a massive earthquake.

Napier – a town that had to rebuild itself in the 1930′s after a quake struck the town and wiped it basically out. They chose to rebuild in the style of the time – Art Deco and lovely it is too.

Admitingly some of the new advertising hoardings have taken over some of the features but most of the upper parts remain unscathed.

This is from central Napier.

Some cracking pics on here recently....

I would be updating pictures here but Internet service here has a problem I've been trying to upload files for two days and they keep failing - Internet is okay just the file transfers to anything - Flickr, Facebook, my own webserver all fail. The Internet guys have identified the problem and won't be able to fix it till tomorrow when we leave here. Typical.

Anyway - Oliver - If you're heading to Omaha beach - don't do just the American Cemetery - take a short trip inland to the Canadian one. We found it more personal and humbling and it's in a lovely setting. There was a thread on here when I visited recently that I recall I did a quick write up - not much but some.

Came across this in the rain forest. And no - no selective colouring here. it was that colour. The werewere kōkako (Entoloma hochstetteri).

Came across it during a walk in the rain forest.

March 1st.
He's 72 years old, walks with the aid of a walking stick and the day before he ends his holiday in New Zealand, him and his 69 year old mate decide to tick one off their bucket list.

So at the Bungy up on the mountain - they wander to the end and half expecting them to just topple over gently I'm shocked when he almost takes a run up and dives off the platform.

My hat goes off to you.

Acquired myself the latest car accessory in NZ for the Subaru driver.

A rear looking, squawking alerting system.

The also did a good job of stealing the rubber plugs in chassis members..
