where can I buy Tyreweld so I can dump my spare tyre?

where can I buy some replacement grommets for the passenger footwells ?(tried following bible recommendation and no joy at halfords)

finally - how do people get on with front loading CD players in the S - a mate of mine was saying he felt the suspension may mean the disc would jump around and minidisc might be the way to go. any thoughts?

cheers all

Phil

PS - Thomsons weatherseal done the job a treat - even with the battering the roof has taken this week from the rain.

1. Halfords or see no 2.
2. Go to a decent motor factors and they should have them.
3. If an ex Griff front loader CD player works in the 520, it will work almost anywhere...

Try B&Q - especially the larger stores...

Can't comment on a CD in an S, but I've NEVER had a minidisc skip

-Minidisc is definitely the way forward here. The front loader CD in my S jumps regularly, it's not exactly a pricey player though so maybe it's not got all it could have to avoid the situation.

That's not the only problem though, it's a pig to change CD's on the fly with the gear stick being where it is.

If I had my way it would be a MD multichanger in the boot and a decent set of speakers in the parcel shelf -having said that, forget the ICE completely, and just listen to the exhaust....no hi-fi could touch that

I put a front loading cd player in my s3 as I couldn't afford to convert my 500 or so cds to minidisk. I've only had it jump a couple of times and I was too busy trying not to crash when it happened... under normal use it works fine.

Never had my Pioneer skip but it is a fairly good one, no problems changing CD’s either, maybe the folding front makes a difference though.

thanks all - just bought the Tyreweld and 24mm grommets (think they are the right one as the pack of 25mm ones i bought at the w'end were just a touch too big)

Tyreweld looks a rather scary experience but at least i can be scared with luggage!

on the CD front - i too am loathe to change over to minidiscs as my CD collection is large. dont really want a changer in the boot as it will only take up the space my spare wheel took up! the exhaust is enough to stop me spending a lot on a stereo anyway.

looks like a cheap CD player from Halfords then. Radio reception is crap in my Tiv too so may see what can be done bout that at the same time.

cheers all

I fitted a Sony CD Tuner in the S3 I had, it worked fine. Cost £150 from Halfords about 18 months ago.

Cheers,

I have a front loading Pioneer CD player in my S2. OK but difficult to change disc in first/third gear and does tend to skip sometimes. I am looking to upgrade mine.
Cheers

Hi, I've got a Frontloading BlueDot (Blaupunkt) and that skips on heavy acceleration (!) and a bit on bumpy ground... but its not too bad....

..should be listening to the engine anyway
