Heard that before, next week you'll be restoring your S.

Quote's from PaulV ......

"I'm happy with the S. I just think I'll upgrade the suspension"

"I'm definitely going to change the S. I can't decide whether to have a Cerberra or a Griffith"

Difference for me this time is that I've made my mind up definitley. 1/2 way through Steve's bbible for the Griff and Chimaera and will be looking for a test drive in a Griff this weekend.

Plan is....

1 - Research
2 - Drive at least 10 Griffs minimum
3 - Drive each model of Griff thru 4.x to 500's
4 - research
5 - Drive a few Chimaeras aswell to make sure of which one drive better and suit my driving.
6 - Ask lots of questions
7 - Buy one I really like.

This process is going to take a long time and may not happen by the end of the year. I will also only buy a car I want and am prepared to walk away from anything I'm not confident in.

It'll be a long road but it will be worth it in the end.

I did consider the restoration route guys, but I want a Griff, sorry !

Cheers

Mark

Hello Paul,

Hope you're well and I'm looking forward to the video

I doubt I'll get one before you Paul but as you can see from the post below I have taken a few steps nearer. I just want to be absolutley sure of which one to buy and that I'm buying a good one. I may even consider using Rob Ingleby to find me one after i have driven a few and know which one I want. It will be a while anyway.

You coming to the Italian night at Faversham ??

Cheers

Mark

Ah, the best laid plans and all that .

Isn't the accepted TVR way:

Reality ....
1 - Research
2 - Drive first Griffith 500
3 - Buy said Griffith having been smitten by the soundtrack
4 - Abandon remaining steps

Good luck in your search, sounds like you're being emminently sensible.

Did that the first time. Decided I would research and look etc etc and bought the first one I got in as it was exactly the colours I wanted !

Prat !

Love it all the same though and glad I bought it. More luck than judgement though

No, Alison has a very sensitive tummy (long standing medical problem). You may remember we had to leave the January do early. She thinks the Italian food may have similar results.

If you stick to that plan for buying a Griff, you'll have the self control of a saint.
T think Paul V and Jane have your video.

Cheers,
Paul

Don't think we've got the video, unless Jane has it, only left with 1.

Yeah I know what you mean about me changing my mind still I’m not the only one, last week Jane wanted a TT know she wants a Cooper S, I might get the Griff if I find one that’s right for me but still really like the S so in no hurry.

Sort of; Sue had some sort of gathering for the girls at DicknSue's place last Thurs. Some of the blokes went as well and retired to the pub (I was working as usual). Alison took the videos and distributed them.

How about Kylie in a Griff?

No, that would be sensory overload. Nice idea though.

I,m getting a griff as well, the whole of the eastern region will be filled with ex S series owners flogging there cars. will this have an effect on the nations balance of payments. could the FT index fall even lower due to this huge outlay of dosh!
