Not going to pay dealer prices for headlights and knackered chrome rings( if Henley Heritage could be @rsed to phone me back)Found Cibie lenses and all chromework from www.Europaspares.com or cheaper non Cibie lights from www.S-V-C.co.uk Full set of cibie lights,bowls and brightwork comes in at less than £95 for the pair.
Now looking forward to getting the fuel sender out Monday evening after a weekend of blatting around to use the fuel up.Whoopie

Please be aware that the chrome rims are modified and the standard ones do not fit because you cannot do up all the screws. TVR attach an L shaped bracket so that it will. You will need to replicate this bracket or move it from the originals. Detailed in the S bible.
BTW the last time I looked, TVR were cheaper that the prices quoted. It does not automatically follow that everything TVR is more expensive. Check by all means but don't assume it.

What do you mean by 'clip on rims'? Does this mean the chrome outer ring doesn't need to screw into the bonnet?

The L shaped rims can be made up fairly easy, I made two on Friday night out of an old MGB metal sidelight surround and had both on the car in about 30 mins
It might sound like a bodge, but I had to leave to go to Suffolk Saturday morning, and over 300 miles later, they're still attached to the car

I went to Allparts yesterday and picked up a pair of "Quadoptic Headlamps w/sidelight" made by WIPAC for £54.78 (inc. VAT) - (Part No. S4698B) for my S2. Now I get in behind the chrome and get the unit out, I cannot remove one of the screws holding the headlamp into the rim.
Shall I talk to Allparts to see if they can supply the nesting units from WIPAC (certain to fit, I guess) or shall I try and get a nesting set from either Europa or S V C as recommended by Johno? Decisions, decisions. Am I better off taking the Allparts set back and getting the whole lot from one of those recommended by Johno? If I get the nesting set separately will the retaining brackets fit the WIPAC units?
Anyone got some advice, please?

I had this problem with a screw that didnt budge, the best bet is to just drill it out and replace the screw.

Thanks, Dave, I thought of that only I have no suitable vice to hold the unit in while I do it and am scared of doing more harm than good if the drill slips.
Looking at comparative prices, I am leaning towards returning the set I bought from Autoparts and going for a set of Cibie H4s plus nesting units via Europa, the guys that JustinS recommended. They work out about £6.50 more, but you get the Cibies and the nests.
Incidentally, Europa's prices are a lot less that Autoparts'. Europa have the same lamp set I bought (same part no.) at £33.37 per pair. Even if I've omitted the VAT - not sure if it's included in Europa's prices - that's nearly £15 less. £20 odd if the VAT's in.
I just knew I should have checked into PH before going out with my wallet!
