Jonzo,

You really should feel privileged that you've received this amount of attention for a new S member.

To have your portrait done by Matt aswell is unlike any other new member we've had before !!

Johno - when are you going to tell the new member about the full moon initiation ceremonies? It's only fair that he comes prepared.

There maybe a change of venue in line with holistic solar movements and the price of Optimax. It may revert back to the birthplace of the original gathering of the S clan.....VW.....that was a while ago now ! It would scare the locals again........

Speak to Petrolted, I think he has developed an intitiation robe in line with PH forum requirements. It automatically incapacitates the individual and prevents them moving away from anything PH related for hours on end.

It does make the more painful parts of the ceremony more bearable for the new member

Christ on a bike and Pope on a rope, I've been away from the internet for a week and you guys are going wild - I'm just trying to catch up and get told off for laughing out loud.

Cheers,

Well Johno and M@H, i picked up the 'S2' on friday afternoon all great fun and a very new experience....until half hour down the road, a kind woman driver, whilst admiring the rear of my car, decided to have too closer look and rear ended me!! Oh the joy!..she gave me two nice 2-3" splits in the rear down both sides of the number plate above the exhausts...needless to say, i was a tad un-impressed. Her insurance company will reap the whirlwind ! If that wasn't bad enough, i then got stuck in a horrendous M25 traffic jam that took me 4.5 hours to do a 1&1/4 hour journey in a car i was un-familiar with...my left clutch leg was a jellied eel by the time i got home. The only good thing was that any mechanical probs like temperatures etc passed the hot slow journey perfectly...i feared overheating etc.
What an introduction to TVR-ing !!
Hows that song go?...'things can only get better'...i hope!

Within 30 miles of picking mine up for the 1st time I watched the drivers side mirror gracefully fall off at around the 90 mark on the M25 !!

Welcome to TVR ownership Mark Lets see some piccies then .......

Sorry to hear that, well at least any stone chips etc will be sorted by her insurance.
The day after I picked mine up the throttle pot went and left the car kangarooing up the road, still been very nice since and once mine sells I’ll be getting another TVR, these things are very addictive.

Ouch!...oh well, i'm not the only one to suffer on first day then!..about that mirror falling off, i take it the screws work loose in the door then?, only i kept watching the passenger side as it vibrates alot, whereas the drivers one was solid.
Will post some piccys as soon as i swipe the company digi-camera !...oh and get the rear fixed!!

Depends which mirrors you have. On mine they are the early ball and socket ones and they just work loose over time....and then fall into the path of Laguna's who just run it over !

Not sure what type of mirror without removing the door panel i guess? Its a late 89 S2 with S3 updates to it, so ?
One other thing, i seem to be missing something from the top of the steering column, like a switch or bulb or access panel, as there is a small shaped hole there...anyone able to tell me whats missing? Maybe a previous alarm led/switch or ??
