I was hoping that the latest mods to the car would have pulled the ladies but they aren't working at the moment. I think I may have to change the house music and substitute any luggage space with the largest bass bin this side of Southend...

Mark, I think that's the answer. To attract female attention, ditch the house music and get yourself some nice Celine Dion albums to play in the car.

It wouldn't hurt to respray the car a metallic lilac colour, either.

This is what I need ...... female advice on how to get a female....

So as a TVR driving female what attracts you to a male ?? Or what has attracted you to your male ?? Or what has attracted you in the past to males ??

Hows the Griffith ?? I'll be there soon...well a couple of months ..... maybe 6 !! But I will get there !!

I also though that the new super charger out of the bonnet would do the trick but the chicks down Mac D's don't know what it does or nuffin ... I reckon it da most wikkid ding in da world... reckon ???

Happy to help!

Well now, there's a question. Let's see:

1. He has to be into cars in a fairly big way, but ideally he shouldn't have a better/faster car than me. Compliments about my car are always welcome - and are in fact encouraged!!

2. Back-seat driving, or indeed comment of any sort regarding my driving (especially stamping on an imaginary brake) are no-nos! Unless he's an instructor on a racetrack, that is.

3. He has to have good taste in restaurants. And not turn pale if I suggest an expensive one. The Fat Duck in Bray, anyone??

4. He has to make good conversation. Anything about TVRs will do.

5. Impromptu presents are a good idea. Especially things like gold TVR badges and Leven wiper stalks.

6. I could go on for ages...

S'brilliant!! Go for it, you won't regret it!

Erm... Let's just say that we girlies don't gauge a man's attractiveness by the size of his supercharger. It's what you do with it that counts!!

Thanks, I need it

I've only got an S ! Your Griffith is stunning. I haven't seen it or heard it but I am being complimentary anyway as you have been generous enough to give a desperate man advice !!

Ditto - male to female attraction ratio does decend rapidly upon whinging and false braking. Even my friend Sarah on track at Hethel didn't do the braking thing and it was her first time on track.

Went to Rick Steins last year....no better way to spend money on a night out than a top quality meal. No I'm not getting old !

I could talk TVR's a;; night and all day and then the following week

Conversation does need to be slightly different on occasion though as this would get a little monotonous after a while. But then again .....

Sounds like the kind of thing I'd do....except I'd buy those items.....for her......but it would be my car (not sure about the gold badges though but that has been debated before...)

So can I and most men find that very attractive in a female too

I know I know....was out with SteveH in his 500 at Hethel on Saturday and it just made me more resolute about my plans for changing the S.

What about a big turbo then ?? I could get a dump valve !!

Or am I missing the point here ???

Good start! We like it! Keep it up!

Did you turn up in the S as well for additional "wow, isn't that gorgeous"?? There's nothing like a TVR of any descrption for that extra little bit of pulling power!

Okay then, when you got bored (!) talking TVRs you could compliment your ladyfriend on her taste in accessories (but leave your views on the gold badges out, okay??). Or tell her her mohair roof is looking stunning or something. Avoid comment on cuddly toys on the parcel shelf, though!

Hmm, be prepared for your new toys to be nicked and installed on her car!!

Are you kidding?! None of the ones I've been out with appreciate loquaciousness. Huh, they don't know what they're missing.

Good, aren't they?! If you're ever in the area and the sun is shining (I'm too scared to take it out in the wet!), you're welcome to join me for a blat up the M40. Just in case you need any extra persuasion.

Um... Mark... I think we need a little chat here... And forget the size of your tailpipe too! Au naturel is the best way, much more impressive because you don't need to enhance perfection now, do you...?!

Sorry to spoil the romance blossoming here, but if i might digress back to the original subject..Leebees interior looks pretty cool, is that heater control panel a new (electric-looking colour) type?, i think the original looks cheap and a let-down for the otherwise nifty S dash, surprised no-one has made a chrome surround for that too. Are the clocks easy to remove and where do you get the bezels from?
Has anyone replaced the handbrake for a chrome one?..an easy job?
So many questions !!

Agreed - LeeBee's interior gives the whole dash a fresher look. I also agree that the heater surround would look good in chrome... and how about ally stalks?

The heater control looks so good in Lee's car because he has replaced the sticker ! I have done this also and it does make a large difference to the whole dash.

Dial removal is easy enough although it gets tricky to do the Speedo and Tacho with the dash in place. They are held in place by single metal brackets which are fixed from behind.

Chrome/alloy/stainless steel are available from Speedy Cables in Islington. Send them your dials and decide which bezel you require and they will stri[p your old one and replace with the new. Its about £20 a dial.

I have a alloy handrake handle which was bought as a present for me from Leven Tech. Extremely easy to fit. I did build up the diameter of the bare handle with some tape to get a very snug fit.

I also have the dashboard alloy vents as I think they look superb with a black interior. I believe Lee didn't do his as he didn't want anymore of a 'heads up' display than the S already gives !!

Not all S series cars have a surround to the heater controls and therefor due to specification it probably hasn't been focused upon. The likes of Leven and Zertec do not do much stuff for the S as the demand is low (or so they allege) and they focus on the newer models.

Alloy stalks are not possible without significant modifaction due to their integral nature into the the steering column mounted switchgear. Different from that of the Griffith and Chimaera.

They do have a website aswell but I can't find it at the moment.

Hope this helps...

You are a handy 'oracle' Johno!...thanks for the help.
Where do you get the replacement sticker for the heater...TVR dealer? and glad to hear the handbrake is easy, someone told me they are a bugger to replace?..it and the heater are quite prominant in the cockpit and yet both are cheaply finished.

I got my heater sticker from Lee ! You need to be careful as some control are the other way round and they are not all the same. Lee may have some left. If not often the dealers will have them. Low demand item.

Doesn’t need a pulse, just a air line attachment

I think Ted will have to start up a lonely-hearts section!

Does Leebee have a shop/private business then? or a catalogue of custom bits etc that he sells?

Also, not sure if anyones covered this before, but i seem to have lost the drivers door rubber U-shape seal (about 2" long) that fits around the window at the top back edge of door, to stop water getting inside the door panel. The passenger side also looks like someones made a replacement for it out of thin rubber. I take it that they are just glued on and therefore easily lost?
Anyone found/made a suitable piece of rubber to fix this or do i have to order new ones from TVR main supplies?
