putting routes on a Garmin

Despite advice, the euro tour was the first time I used mine, and found it didn't automatically switch to the next waypoint, can anyone tell me what I was doing wrong?
I would be interested in the answer to that as well....otherwise it is a case of keeping up with the Beatle in front...which can be tricky if he removes his light fuses to save weight... A man after my own heart tdiquattro said:
I have the box and the lead, I will send it over when I get a chance. For info there i a user manual on line.
Nigel.
Hi Nigel, having a spot of bovver here, I suspect the Garmin doesn't like my "Ebay" lead, my daughter reckons brand name products can tell when you try and use a cheap lead?Nigel.
My apologies if you did send the genuine lead and I've misplaced it but should you still have it I'd be most grateful
Mike.
Plan B: if anyone would be kind enough to load up the routes for me if I posted Sat Nav to you and I'll buy you a beer and get it back in Calais

Plan B is all very well Mike, but how will you find Calais without a sat nav?
Joe!! I may need your help to load up the routes on my TomTom.
Or I too will be unable to find Calais.... If I bring my device to you in a week or so? pretty please?
( Well, the hotel is not the one we usually share with half of France's Gendarme forces. )

Send it to me and I'll see what I can do. Alternatively come to my place next Tuesday morning. Better come early though in case it's not as easy as I think it is! glenrobbo said:

Despite the "Taiwan" label I'm hoping this is the genuine article? If not Sat Nav will be in the post PS Glen, I think by now I can probably just about find Dover and hopefully the man driving the boat knows his way to Calais!

Very sorry Mike, in the muddled life that is my own I must have not sent them out, will post tomorrow! My apologies if you did send the genuine lead and I've misplaced it but should you still have it I'd be most grateful

Can't wait for the Spa trip, big push these last few weeks on car prep (on Longer's car, just looking after it for him as you know). Unfortunately not TVR priced parts so 3k spent but pork is better than ever now.
See you soon

Thanks Nigel, that's appreciated 3k is a lot of weight saving carbonfibre... You could've saved yourself a lot of trouble and got an S. They're made of plastic so are already light enough, even with a full set of fuses
I'm having trouble loading the route onto my Tom Tom start 25. Is it a case of uploading to a micro SD and then downloading on to Tom Tom?
On another note the car fired for the first time today! screen in Friday, m.o.t booked for Saturday and some odds and sods to finish on the trim Monday ..... nothing like leaving it to the last minute!!

Look forward to seeing what 3k buys, probably not a lot!

A New clutch and single mass flywheel 1.5k, new rear lights £750 ! lol, rubber front roof seal £200, front diff mount £150, diff lock seals £70, plus a bunch of other stuff, just the oil for the oil change was £150 lol.I have already said to Longers I will buy an S when I retire as I won't be able to afford to run the Pork. even doing it all myself
