How to adjust S3 hand brake
Discussion
First, make sure that it's the handbrake that needs adjustment, and not the brake shoes - they should self-adjust, but the mechanism is notoriously crap.
If you do want to adjust the handbrake, you need to follow the cable from the near side drum - it goes through a bracket on the chassis above the nose of the differential. The offside cable has no adjusters the near side one dies, and that effectively adjusts them both. There's a knurled know with a lock-nut - loosen off the locker, turn the adjuster to shorten the cable (to make the handbrake cone on earlier).
You will find access for your hands a lot easier if you take off the exhaust first.
