1989 S Series Front Bumper Rubber

Has anyone got any pointers how to fit the thing?
Rears on mine are simply held on by big self tappers through from the boot.Fronts are a bit more technical, a strip of metal slid through the bumper then an M6 bolt either end bolted through the strip then another nut inside the bonnet to secure.
Fronts should have rubber cut away at both ends (inside edge) to accommodate this?
Here you go, always easier with pictures

Glad this thread has taken a positive turn.
Mick supplied me his used pair, though I may still opt for new for spare.
Has anyone got any pointers how to fit the thing? I vaguely recall a post about self tapping screws from the inside out?
Many thanks..
normally a bit of rusty metal strip slid inside the bumper for the self tappers to attach to....or you could save weight and last longer with plastic...Mick supplied me his used pair, though I may still opt for new for spare.

Looks like it's up to 56 metres so far? Minus your 4, and 4 going to Holland and another 4 to Jersey, that's still quite a big lump to get to UK? Can you get it over here somehow to a single address?
Once here maybe some of the distribution could be done by the "S Club Courier Express" to cut down on postage costs, how many buyers will be at the NEC for the Classic Car Show later in the year or perhaps TVRCC atChatsworthWentworth Woodhouse ?
Can we all pay you by Bank Transfer (there's always going to be one or two who take some chasing up)

I hereby declare that to remain competitive in the very expensive modern chaotic free-for-all that is our nation's transportation of goods system,
"S Club Courier Express" should be renamed "S-Cargo".
It has a more international appeal, don't you think?
Slightly O/T, but for your information:
Everyone please note that there will be no TVRCC Chatsworth Gathering this year.
Instead the "Season Closer" will be at Wentworth Woodhouse, SG2 7TQ on Sunday 1st October 2017
This stately home has recently opened to the public and is the largest inhabited domicile in Europe.
I don't know if they will allow in lorry-loads of rubber to cater for our kinkiest S Clubbers!
We have planned a good run out for the previous day, Sat 30th September
but we have yet to finalise the starting point, it will be close to but not actually at the main venue.
Hmmm..... rubber.... ....

Am I too late for this - hopefully not - I need 2x rear (sorry, not sure how much that would be), if I could add myself to a list?
I think you are in time to go on the list:TVRees said:
"Guys,
I'm away from home for the whole month of June, so I'll pick this one up again in July, when I'm back home.
If we do all decide to go for this, how can we arrange the logistics and the financials ?

l'll add your name to the list.

YES, as I mentioned previously.... to Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil, a stringless tennis racket's throw away from TVR Ebbw Vale. Free of charge too.TVRees said:
I can get it shipped to S.Wales, to a location 5 miles away from the new TVR factory ! - and then someone would need to pick it up from there and distribute it.

I will be at the Uxbridge show if you have it by then?
Now we just need a volunteer to drive to Wales and drag a bloody big roll of rubber moulding to Uxbridge You will also need a tape measure and a bignormous pair of scissors, unless it comes ready chopped into handy 4m or 2m lengths.
It's a pity the TVRCC "Back Home > New Home thingy is the following month:
11th to 14th August 2017m
Ebbw Vale on Sunday 13th?; Shirley that would be the ideal collection point?
If various peeps from various regions were to go there, it could be the start of something amazing in the commercial development of S-Cargo Enterprises!
Just imagine... subsequent meetings at Tatton Park: Passion for Power, Oulton Park Gold Cup, Morris Dancing at the Beehive ( don't ask! ) Breakfast at
It's a distributor's dream! *** and with no uncomfortable electrodes or carbon brushes!
I have a cunning plan......
Today the Shires...
Tomorrow THE WORLD!
