My fuel pump and filter are connected by what appears to be black nylon tube simply pressed on to the 'Christmas trees' of the two banjo fittings, with no clips. Is this normal?

The short length of pipe has sprung a leak. I'd like to replace it with 'Gates Barricade' fuel hose (following advice on this forum), but resellers in the UK appear to sell only the 50psi grade in small quantities, and the 15.5 bar type only in 7.6m (25ft) lots.

Would anybody like to sell me a foot of 5/16 inch i/d high pressure Barricade hose? Please?

Yes.

I may have a bit left over after re-piping my Taimar, I bought a roll of the "good stuff" although it is only low pressure/carburetor fuel system. If you can give me a couple of days I'll see what I've got.

Yes, this is as fitted new, the ends are "swaged" onto the end fittings, same as Ford and other makes of car.
It is perfectly safe as the nylon pipe is unaffected by bio-ethanol fuels.
However, it is not very resistant to kinking or bending in small radii. Tight curves are usually pre-formed.

Please note: I regret that I am not qualified to talk about normal.
In fact you may struggle to find anybody on here who is... wobble

Thanks, Mike, but I can buy a metre of that (CBS have it).

I need the HP stuff. In the long run, I'll bite the £80 bullet, and refit the main pipes. I'm just looking for a quick fix for the time being.

Thanks, Mike: that's the stuff.

But I've been and gone and ordered 25ft: here it is for £65.

Thanks again.
