After the drive to and from Uxbridge on my "slicks" I've gone for a change and ordered a set of Uniroyal Rain Expert 3 tyres.

Scotland? ... I'll be ready for whatever you've got ..........

I did notice your tyres were looking a bit on the used side on Sunday, scarily your car seemed to be handling better in the wet in Luxembourg than mine was so I'm changing my (10 year old paperbag) tyres. I was going to get Blue Rinse, any reason why you're changing Mike?

You can't get RainSport 3s in 15" unfortunately. RainExpert (the more humdrum version) are available but not rated so highly. I've been very impressed with the BluResponses on my S2, and I'm used to the RainSports on my other cars. Far better than the Bridgestones that were on before (although they were a little elderly).

Cheaper! The Dunlops seem to have crept up in price and I have another "love" to waste spend my money on now!

The Rain Expert van tyres will do for tootling around in the S smile

The V8S runs on 205/55/15 so you should be able to as well but you will loose a tad of ground clearance. That could make itself noticeable in Scotland.

As one of the poor people who only have one TVR!! I think I'll splash out on Blue Rinse, £300 a set fitted seems possible.

Ground clearance could be compensated by winding the suspension up a touch but that would exacerbate the S Series "wheels too small for the arches" look.

................. and make the speedo even less accurate!

I changed my tyres at the beginning of this year. From Dunlops to Bridgestone Turanza.

Really like them. Much better in the wet than before, kept me safe round Spa and they are O.E. too

(By safe, I really mean the slowest !!)

Tim has the Uniroyals on the Griff now - they make a massive difference to both wet and dry grip. Although he had toyo's before I have driven in both and would definitely recommend them. Also had them on my van !
Slightly chewed after Spa but that means they were doing a good job right ?

I'm running my v8 on 205/60/15 I have Blues on one set and Toyo Proxos CF on the other, not a lot in them to be honest.

Taken the plunge and decided to have Rainsports fitted after wearing out a set of ancient Bridgestones. My friends have commented that they were surprised how much grip they had so hope that rainsports can match and exceed that.
Just need to then fit the new upper wishbone bushes and all should be good!
