Jobs to done;

1. Repair battery tray.
2. Fit driver's side manifold.
3. Finish loom repairs - starter feed and switch.
4. Fill, flush and refill cooling system.

Might just make it.

How about you Andrew?

For the last trip we set up a what's app for information on the trip and it proved very useful.
I suppose a one page Word document would be far too simple then? laugh

The GTS have similar way of communicating with each other.

It's called a coffee stop !

We exchange information, receive guidance on matters of gentlemanly etiquette and ensure no entendre is left undoubled.

I am on holiday at the moment. I have lots of mobile phone numbers stored on my PC that haven't made it into my phone. When I'm back I'll add those that I've got numbers for into the group wink

Joe, making paper aeroplanes and throwing them out of the car window is not the most efficient way of communicating between cars when we're on the move, especially if the GTS are having one of their numerous refreshment/toilet breaks while the bank robbers race ahead to, well, rob a bank somewhere!! hehe

Nigel is OK, because at least he's made the effort with all his TVR badges wink. And Gary and Matt still drive an 'S' driving But if you ask me, this could be the thin end of the 350i Wedge. rolleyes Next thing you know, we'll be cavorting with DarkSiders...

Update today from X works is that brakes are bled, cooling system is full, there is fuel in it, alternator is fitted, most electricals are hooked up apart from a couple of stray wires that noone is sure what they are..... Insurance is also now paid!

"To do"
Retrieve throttle pot from my garage and post to X-Works (done!)
Start engine
Run in
Geometry set up
MOT
COLLECT!
4 new tyres
Run in and iron out any niggles (this is most likely to be done on the journey to Scotland) smile

Andrew

Front end half put together and re-wired. Should be done on Sunday.

Then on to the boot area.

If it doesn't all come together there's a nice Boxster S for sale down the road.

Sit rep :-
In two weeks about now some of us will be headed to a very nice hotel near Fort William and won't be listening to the guy with the angle grinder on one side, the guy with the tile cutter on the other or the Mrs with the hoover. It may well be a bit noisier though😉

If I was Stewart I would be doing a number 11 first and then seeing what is left to do (check your list).

If all that fails don't bother buying another S, I have one I won't be using and you are welcome to borrow it. Will be much more fun in the TVR. That said I have never know Stewart not finish the list and turn up in the correct TVR for the job hence the offer.

Thanks for the offer

Wendy has the Jag back axle and the calipers and handbrake cable defo need changing. I have no interest in wrestling them off and happy to open my wallet and pay the garage. Weds is the earliest day they had and I'm 'free'.

l'm very much working day to day at the moment and if things are clear by 11am I'll get on with Wendy.

Wendy will certainly have the 'rat' look onthe trip. biggrin

Driver's side headlamp, side light, indicators and driving lamp re-wired and installed. Found some more dodgy wiring hidden in the loom for these items so fixed them too.

Might have sometime tomorrow. If I do then the passenger side will be my focus.
