V8s diff. How to test?
Discussion
To be honest, unless you're full-bore, I can't tell the difference either. I fitted a Cosworth LSD to my S1 a couple of years ago, and the car doesn't have the power to fully engage it I don't think. You can feel them hook up a bit more in the V8, but nothing like a Chimaera/Griffith.
My S2 had an open diff and was fine most of the time - there were just a few situations where I was going through a corner with camber changes where the car would rock around and couldn't make up it;s mind whether it was going to oversteer or understeer. Traction is far more of a problem on the V8S especially coming out of corners in the lower gears. Very frustrating to have a grippy road and plenty of power but no way to connect the two together.
