How can I identify this?
Non-Cat engine:Air flow meters immediately behind air filter...............
Cat engine:
No AFU's, air filter directly onto hoses
Ignore white arrow, yellow circle is a Lambda sensor (one in each manifold) and just below, the big lump in the exhaust, is the catalytic converter!

The C cars have a lambda / oxygen sensor in the tail of each exhaust manifold. The non-C cars have two AFM modules right behind the air filters.
There are loads of things to identify the differences but the above two are easy and obvious for even the most novice of novices.
SO FOR CLARITY a C car has to have lambdas on the exhaust manifolds and no AFMs on the air filter. A non-C car has no lambdas and two AFMs on the air filter.

Any nice recommends for S2C/S3C/S4C?
Check out the ads on autoscout24.de, as I posted earlier. Or, buy a car in GB for much less and import it to Germany https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
i´ve already looked on the continent for the adverts.
importing a car from uk is not a problem to me, as i did it before.
the choice in the uk not so big on the s-series as i thought.
i prefer the 2,9i engine as i think that it will be the more modern engine with a better flow and maybe easier to tune up
(to get real 180-190hp).
the longer door from s3/s4 is not the point as i own a tuscan v6 from ´71 and i know what a short door means....

Think I'm right here, the chassis under the gearbox is removable on S3 on wards so it can be removed without taking engine out. I've got a S2 and mine is the same, but heard not all are the same as mine. So like to think I've got an S2.5 lol
Not too sure about that one.Gassing Station | S Series | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
