Now it the season for a lot of improvement work on you S.....

As we have decided to keep the S, I have a program of improvements this winter...first job, re-paint the sun faded carpets....from an idea on the chim forum...

..before...

...after....

I know someone else is planning some serious engine work....what about you?

Just a minute, you can't just throw that carpet painting idea out there without a link, please!!!! laughlaugh

My faded reds could do with a re-colouring and, if there is a solution, that could be added to the other projects, Winter or otherwise!!!

TIA

Link to the carpet colouring would be handy.

Wendy appears to be working now, so my Winter project is to get Suni on the road in timefor Monaco.

...and while the seats are out...time to refurb them...

From...

With worn out support structure...

...or very little support at all...

....so.....

Repair the material, with cable ties instead of the rusty metal clips...

...build a new support structure...

And finish with recolouring the leather....

...job done... wink

looks a really good effort - will be interested as to how they stand up to some wear and tear over say 2 years

Think all I need to do this winter is to replace my drivers side electric door mirror - which on the face of it seems quite simple...

...except that I've just tried to find a new replacement online and unpainted and without the actual glass mirror is close on £400!

Unless you guys know where I could source a more cost effective replacement?

And before you ask, there's not really anything on the knackered one that can be re-used (apart from maybe the glass mirror bit).

It has been rather cunningly 'made to look un-damaged' by someone following a historic knock with the use of glue, parcel tape and touch up paint - the wabbling rear view gave things away a bit though so I thought I'd try and do a proper job on it rolleyes
