This is not how it was supposed to happen - I was the 'guinea pig' and just gave my order and paid the deposit - so I thought all ok.furious

I'll make the list if you put your names and choices on ONE of the platforms we are using = PH / TVRCC / fb
The lovely Maxine took my deposit and menu choices no problem last week.
I think it depends on how nice you are to the receptionist. wink

I have posted out the first batch of Bywell Passes this afternoon, and will post the others tomorrow. ( ran out of stamps )

The rest I will hand out oop norf.

Enjoy your nice long lie-in next Thursday, by 1pm, I should be already there at Bobby Shafto's with my homely erection in place and with my kettle boiling.
Magpies has planned a nice scenic route from Wetherby if you're travelling fairly light, but I will be at max gross weight ( and so will Percy! )

The trophies are ready, I will pick them up tomorrow.
Would whoever has the Clarence Boddiger "Go Car not Show Car" trophy and associated documentation please remember to bring it along ( Alan? ) Don't forget to add your comments to the history file. thumbup

And any suitable prizes for our usual charity raffle will be gratefully received. If not, ) a fiver in the charity box will be appreciated. ( Public admission to the show is £10 per adult so think of it as getting in for half price smile )

All monies this year will be donated to "Daisy Chain" a local N. E. charity who offer support for autistic children and their families.
A very worthy cause, I think you'll agree.

I shall now get my dinner and then put my feet up for a bit.

PS, L.I.Am, I'm still waiting to hear back from the MG co-ordinator, but I think it will be a "Yes".

( Mr. Plow asked me if there were any charging points for golf buggies at Bywell wink )

Hi Glen
I will now be arriving Saturday morning as Tom (my son) has his prom Friday evening and don't fancy a 4 hour drive after I pick him up in the TVR at midnight! What time are folk heading out to the museum on Saturday? Were my show passes (2 cars) in those that were posted out?

Looking fwd to seeing you all.
Martin and crew.
Hi Martin,

I will be handing out Museum entry tickets at Beamish to those who have applied via the TVRCC Office,
I will be there from 9am until 10am when the doors open.
Our TVR parking is on Tier 7 East, the first level on the right when you enter through the archway.

If you have ordered Museum tickets from Alison, and will be late arriving, please let me know so I can make arrangements for you to pick them up on Sat morning.
If you haven't pre-purchased tickets, you can buy them at the Museum entrance, but it will be very busy!

I didn't request your name ( I don't actually know your surname ) and address to post out the Bywell pass to you, as you were scheduled to arrive late Friday evening. You have just the one free entry pass for your S, driver and passenger.
Sorry, but the Evoque is not a qualifying vehicle for the Classic Show. frown
The driver of the Evoque will be directed to the ample public parking over the road.

If you send me a PM with your mobile no. I will give you a call.
Alternatively my no. is in Sprint in the Regional Reports section, High Peak DRO.

Message for Chris Newstead ( Chimaera )
No. 65 on the Bywell entry list.

Sorry you can't make it on Sunday Chris. Thanks for letting me know, and the £5 donation for the Daisy Chain charity is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Glen

wavey Yes please Mick! I can't do the old satnav, never mind the new Very Advanced Version satvav!

Road atlas + felt tip + dead wrong reckoning is my usual method of getting hopelessly lost! confused

We have a surprise last minute addition to our Friday expedition numbers.
Barry is now joining us! woohoo

Barry knows how to load itinerary files onto satnav. He's da Man, man!
So now we will have at least two cars headed in the right direction!
Barry says he's not bothered about the pub lunch, which probably means I'll have to share my soup with him. rolleyes
And possibly some of my loin yikes

But he's not having any of my cheesecake. nono

I have just received confirmation from our chosen S Club Heaven charity "Daisy Chain" of the final sum raised at the Bywell Classic Car Show.

From Daisy Chain...

"Good morning Glen,

On behalf of Daisy Chain, a massive thank you for the money raised through the raffle and donations at the S-Club Heaven event at the Bywell Classic Car Show.

The total raised was an incredible £399.63 - this is a fantastic amount and will make a big difference to the children and families who are supported by Daisy Chain. For example, this could provide 5 children with a Short Break session where they can interact with other young people with ASD, supported by our staff. Not only does this benefit the child by helping develop social skills, helping them understand their autism and giving them a safe, familiar environment, it also offers the family respite too.
I know that TVRCC have already been a huge support to Daisy Chain via their support of Alison and her JOGLE adventure last year. I am massively in awe of her achievement and am sure that you are all equally as proud of her. We really appreciate all of your support both through the recent car show and through your donations to Alison’s fundraising. I hope that you will be able to continue supporting us in the future - if you or any of the other members would like to come along for a visit to Daisy Chain to see the facilities and where your support is going, I would be delighted to give you a tour. (Not least as I am a fellow PHer - though a very infrequent visitor now! - and lover of TVRs!)

Attached is a certificate and letter confirming the amount raised, for your records.

Huge thanks again for your very kind donation.

Best regards,

Tracey

Well done to everyone who contributed, whether via bringing excellent raffle prizes, purchase of raffle tickets, donations of money and physical help in setting up and decorating our TVR pitch by Mark and his volunteer helpers.
Thanks to the support from the TVRCC Committee and thanks to Ali for all her time and hard work.
Thanks to Mick for masterminding and route proving for the friday run out and excellent lunch at the William de Percy, both were a great taste of Northumbria!
Thanks to Alan for his hours of dedicated crafting of those finely etched SCH tankards and sorting out the stickers.
Thanks all for your generosity, give yourselves a big pat on the back.

And thankyou Northumbria for your glorious weather!( Never thought I'd be saying that! )

I remain humbly,

Glen

It's good to know that we helped to make a difference.
