I would put a Subaru pas rack it anyways so didn't do much consider the steering.

A couple of v6 have had V8s wishbones fitted so it surprises me they pick ups are different do you know this for sure?

Also TVR were considering making some but needed a car to check the fit on.

Also there is a v6 running with escort cosworth 8" all round with spacers no good tyres for 16" wheels though or not at a reasonable price..

Good luck

Plus..thinking about it the arches I will use are copies of the SE arches produced by TVR themselves , so they must have used there usual engineering finesse and expertise in their inception, design and production? (LOL)

also check out

willtheyfit.com

input your existing wheel and tyre set up and then play with the 'new' settings to obtain the tyre location of your choice

pay attention to the rolling radius unless you have a programmable or gps speedo

I have a programmable one in my S which is running on 17's

photo of mine adj to a 'tall' S - mine is the low rider but seems to ride B roads ok.

Having dug up the previous thread the difference has been exaggerated in my memory. Kitchski measured some and the mounting points were 5mm futher apart on the top wisbones.

So you're quite correct that it should all just fit. You'll just be a bit further out on the top ball joint adjustment to get the camber right if they're all like that.

I'll stick a tape on my chassis in the morning as I've got all the front end off at the moment.

Now having done that I'm even more confused, the measurements in the other thread were 670mm for the v6 and 675 for the v8, mine measures 665.

That's like BL levels of precision if they're all that different.

(previous thread was this one https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... )
