Hi everyone wavey

This year I have brought our S Club Barn Farm Camping weekend forward to coincide with our High Peak Nomads "Thrills in the Hills" TVR Run on Saturday 26th May.
This falls on the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, so our 'Usual Spot' is not available. ( It will be occupied with catering vans and an archery area! ) However, I have reserved the area on the other side of the wall from the reception office lawn exclusively for TVR camping.
So it's limited pitches, cost this year is £10 per person per night, payable on arrival.
Sorry I couldn't negotiate cheaper rates, but it's Bank Holiday innit!

I need to confirm numbers with them asap, so if you're interested, please let me know.

Unfortunately I won't be camping there myself this year due to family reasons*, but hopefully I will be able to do the "Thrills" Run, which starts from Hassop Station Cafe, about a 15 to 20 minute drive from Birchover.

Barn Farm are expecting around 1000 campers on site over this weekend, so it will be very busy.
I advise anyone wishing to dine at the Red Lion or the Druid Inn to make meal reservations well beforehand.

Some info on the "Thrills in the Hills" Event:

Exactly 100 TVRs attended in 2017, I'm sure we can do better this year! wink

Not to be missed! driving

* Expecting delivery of two brand new future marshals! cloud9

I hope the couriers perform better than the ones who failed miserably with my "Wilson" TVR S1 exhaust. rolleyes

Glen,

I'm hugely disappointed that you can't make Barn Farm this year, but delighted that you've laid the groundwork for another year's thrills and frolics (snail racing).

Dean and the T(V)R and I will be there, peacocks notwithstanding.

Yes Mick, that is my intention. It makes sense to combine the two.
I will announce details when the new Events Wiki for 2019 is up and running.

The "Thrills in the Hills" Run is confirmed and will be held on Saturday 25th May 2019

Good one Glen. The car wasn't on the road in time in 2018 but fingers crossed we will be back to enjoy your lovely roads/scenery in 2019. It is in the diary!!.
